Kim Cook Named Principal of Fayetteville Virtual Academy
The Fayetteville Board of Education has approved the recommendation of Superintendent Dr. John L Colbert to name Kim Cook as the principal of Fayetteville Virtual Academy. Mrs. Cook has served as Interim Principal of FVA since January of 2019.
“I was thrilled to confirm Mrs. Cook as principal of Fayetteville Virtual Academy,” said Dr. Colbert. “She has been a true asset to FVA and has fully embraced the virtual academy philosophy of creating personalized learning for each student.”
“I am thankful for the vision of our school district in reimagining education at Fayetteville Virtual Academy and allowing me to lead the team. Dr. Colbert has supported me throughout my time in the Fayetteville School District and I greatly appreciate his faith in me,” said Kim Cook.
Mrs. Cook has been a public school educator for 26 years. She earned a Bachelors Degree in Special Education and a Masters Degree and Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Arkansas.
Mrs. Cook began her career as a special education teacher and has since served as a special education supervisor and an assistant principal at Fayetteville High School and Fayetteville Virtual Academy.
