JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM

There are three junior high schools in Fayetteville Public Schools: Ramay Junior High, Woodland Junior High, and Fayetteville Virtual Academy. Ramay Junior High and Woodland Junior High are traditional, onsite junior high schools. Fayetteville Virtual Academy offers instruction virtually with opportunities for onsite enrichment and student assistance.

ATHLETICS
Our award-winning athletics programs begin in seventh grade. The athletic program at the junior high school level is designed to accomplish many things, such as: building confidence, developing skills, promoting teamwork, providing physical development, promoting sportsmanship, promoting school spirit, teaching discipline, and teaching responsibility. Students have the opportunity to participate in:

The Fine Arts are an integral part of Fayetteville's community and culture and offer unique and exciting experiences for all students within our district. Dr. Kristina Hudson

Dr. Hudson came to Fayetteville Public Schools from Baton Rouge, Louisiana where she served as a teaching assistant for Louisiana State University and as the Director of School Accountability for the Southern University Laboratory School.

Dr. Hudson served as Ramay Junior High School Assistant Principal before the move to her present position as Executive Director of Secondary Schools. Dr. Hudson is a lifelong learner, quality instructor, and advocate for students and their families. Dr. Hudson’s record of improving student achievement while working alongside teachers has been an asset to Fayetteville Public Schools.

Dr. Hudson received her Doctorate of Philosophy in Educational Leadership degree from Louisiana State University. She also holds both master’s and bachelor’s degrees in history from Louisiana State University. Dr. Hudson taught in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System for nine years.
