All sites are quality approved through Arkansas’s Better Beginnings. Each classroom has twenty (20) students enrolled and is led by a state-licensed teacher and a paraprofessional. We serve Fayetteville School District students who turn 4 by August 1st of the year in which they will attend. Enrollment is based on income eligibility according to the 2025 Family Poverty Level Guidline.

Cost for FPS Pre-K

FPS Pre-K is offered at no cost for families who meet the income eligibility requirements. Please refer to the 2025-2026 Sliding Fee Scale to determine if your family size and income are eligible for no fee, a partial fee, or if you are not eligible.

Sarah Jewell

Director of Pre-K Education

Sarah Jewell joined the Pre-K program beginning in the Fall of the 2024-2025 school year. She firmly believes that strong and meaningful relationships, as well as the priority of kindergarten readiness are foundational for a thriving, achieving Pre-K program.

This is her 22nd year in education, supporting families in our fantastic community of Northwest Arkansas where she was born and raised with 12 of those years with Fayetteville Public Schools. She has taught Kindergarten, First Grade, and Third Grade in Northwest Arkansas. She has also held the position as Library Media Specialist at the elementary school and middle school level, as well as Assistant Principal at Happy Hollow Elementary School.
