Dr. Courtney Morawski Named New Assistant Superintendent for Teaching & Learning

At their June 15 meeting the Fayetteville Board of Education voted unanimously to approve the hiring of Dr. Courtney Morawski as the new Assistant Superintendent for Teaching & Learning, beginning with the 2023-2024 school year. 

“I am very happy to have Dr. Morawski join our leadership team, “said incoming superintendent Dr. John Mulford. “She will play a pivotal role in the Office of Teaching & Learning, and her experience and insight will serve us well. I look forward to her strong leadership in this most important area of our schools.”

“I am excited and honored to be joining the Fayetteville Public Schools team as the new assistant superintendent for teaching and learning,” said Dr. Morawski. “I look forward to working with the district’s talented educators and staff to continue the tradition of excellence in the district. I am committed to working with the FPS staff, students, and families to provide our students with excellent educational opportunities every day.  By working as a team, I believe we can create learning environments where all students and staff can thrive! I can’t wait to learn about all of the things that make Fayetteville Public Schools so fantastic!”

Dr. Morawski was most recently the Executive Director of Middle Level Education for Bentonville Schools. She has also served as a principal, assistant principal, Director of Professional Development, high school teacher, and elementary teacher for the Fort Smith, Mansfield (TX), and Judson (TX) School Districts. 

Dr. Morawski earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, her master’s degree from the University of Texas at Tyler, and her doctorate from the Dallas Baptist University.
