At their April 25 meeting, the Fayetteville Board of Education voted to appoint Ivone Hudson to fill at-large position #1 that was vacated by Megan Tullock on March 28. Ms. Hudson will serve until the school election in 2025 when she will have to run again for the position. Ms. Hudson will assume her duties at the May 23 board meeting.
“I’m extremely honored and excited for the opportunity to serve Fayetteville Public Schools in this capacity and for the opportunity to give back to my community,” said Hudson. “I’m looking forward to working with Dr Mulford and his team, as well as my colleagues on the board, to continue to improve our school district and make it even better.”
Ms. Hudson earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Arkansas. She is the founding president of the John L Colbert Middle School PTO, and she currently teaches the Spanish Club at Washington Elementary School. She has also served as a Spanish teacher at Fayetteville Creative School.
