New SROs

Fayetteville Public Schools is pleased to welcome two new School Resource Officers (SRO) to our school for the 2024-25 school year.

Corporal Scott O’Dell will be working primarily at Holt Middle School, but he will also travel around the school district as needed. He is a 17 year veteran of the Fayetteville Police Department, and he also had a 22 year active duty career in the U.S. Army.

In his office duty hours, Corporal O’Dell is a dedicated family man. He also loves restoring older vehicles and working with the Shop With a Cop program.

Corporal Marcus Peace will be working primarily at Butterfield Trail and Root Elementary Schools, but he will also travel around the school district as needed. He is a 16 year veteran of the Fayetteville Police Department. Before joining the police department, he worked in construction and served as an infantry officer in the National Guard.

In his office duty hours, Corporal Peace enjoys spending time with his family and three sons, and the family enjoys hiking, floating, camping, and traveling.

Welcome to our Fayetteville Public Schools Family!
