Kara Reynolds, an inclusive education teacher at John L. Colbert Middle School, is February’s KNWA Golden Apple winner! She’s celebrated for her dedication to empowering students, making them feel seen, valued, and special. One of her nominations came from a parent, and is included partially below:
“My son has struggled all year with going to school. He finally has a reason to get up and go through the doors of JLC in the morning. It’s Kara Reynolds. She has supported him by allowing him to be himself. She takes an interest in his interests… Kara has helped him come out of his shell and make a true friendship. She is a cheerleader for him and loves to share his successes. Kara is a genuinely kind person and you can see it through how she teaches and interacts with everyone.”
CONGRATULATIONS, Kara! We are so proud of you!
