New Assistant Principals Named

At their April 24 meeting, the Fayetteville Board of Education voted unanimously to approve the hiring of Dr. Erick DeSquare as a new assistant principal at Fayetteville High School and Korillene Flanigan as a new assistant principal at Ramay Jr. High, beginning with the 2025-2026 school year. 

“I am pleased to welcome Dr. DeSquare and Ms. Flanigan to our district, “said superintendent Dr. John Mulford. “Both of them bring valuable experience and expertise, and I’m confident they will be strong additions to our leadership team.”

Dr. DeSquare currently serves as an assistant principal at Hamilton High School in Memphis, TN. He has also served as a special education teacher and as an intervention specialist. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Criminology at Arkansas State University, his master’s degree in Teaching from the University Mississippi, and his doctorate in Educational Leadership from Union University.

Ms. Flanigan currently serves as an assistant principal  in the 8 Connect ALE program in Springdale Public Schools. She has also served as assistant principal, school counselor, school improvement specialist, and equity coordinator in the Jonesboro, Blytheville, and Ashdown Public Schools. She has also served as an adjunct professor at Arkansas State University. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a master’s degree in School Counseling from Texas A&M-Texarkana, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Harding University, and her educational specialist degree from Arkansas State University. She is currently pursuing a doctorate degree from Arkansas Tech University in Educational Leadership.
