We had a great turnout for our Fayetteville Public Schools annual ESL Family Night. Students and their families enjoyed pizza, games, and interacting with staff from many FPS and community programs. Thanks to a grant from the Fayetteville Public Education Foundation everyone took home board games, books, and supplies to practice literacy and math skills. The night was made even better by the volunteers: bilingual student ambassadors from Fayetteville High School. We are proud to celebrate our diverse student body and their cultural backgrounds!

Look who popped into Mrs. Anderson’s fourth-grade classroom at Happy Hollow Elementary this afternoon! Superintendent Dr. John Mulford and Deputy Superintendent Dr. Julie Williams. Both read a storybook to an eager classroom full of students, all part of Mrs. Anderson’s Friday afternoon community reading initiative. What a great way for our superintendents to reinforce the importance of reading. The students loved it and so did our leaders!

Two of our graduates, South Walker and Frankie Quinn (QuinnComix), joined in by talking with students about Autism. We caught our superintendent Dr. Mulford participating as well!
